Voyagur Tackles fishing
tips are written by ourselves and Mitch owns and operates
two successful tackle outlet stores, a guide Fishing the Wind: When planning a day of fishing be sure to keep track of the wind before hand. Fish normally take a day or two to move to the windy side. Graphing: Remember when graphing for fish, the shallower the water the smaller the area graphed. Often there are fish in the shallows even if none are shown on the graph. Nature: Pay attention to the signs of nature when fishing. Plants blooming, leaves turning color, etc. Fish move and become active with these and other changes. Hot Days: When the hot, dog days of July and August are here, try those deep, cool, clear lakes that seem to be tough fishing. Those lakes are often at their peak at this time of year. Tip: When going fishing, bring all bait with you. Don't get caught with just night crawlers when they are biting on minnows and leeches. Tip: Switch colors often. Don't be content with one color. When action slows you can often pick up more fish by switching colors |
